I have justed adopted a mini fox terrier mix? He is 2 years old in great health. He only has a spurt of energy once in awhile is that normal? He sleeps a lot, I have only had him for 5 days. He enjoys his walks but for a short distance.

I had a similar situation where I adopted a 3 year old mini fox. He slept when he first got to my apartment and was a pretty calm dog. But eventually came around. We are in a training class now and he is still a pretty mellow dog but I think the longer he is with you the more you will start to see his personality come out.
