Their are health issues that anyone owning a dog should come to know about. Bulldogs are commonly associated with 'dirty wrinkles". They need to have their faces washed on a daily basis. Also, they have been known to have respiratory problems and generally have probles with their eyes. If you've purchased your bulldog from a reparable breeder than chances are you'll have a healthy dog. However, keep in mind these general problems that come with the breed. Keep in contact with a veterinarian who is especially knowledgeable about english Bulldogs and they will keep you in line with the dog's specific dietary & exercise needs. Don't listen to all the nay-sayers. Stay positive and stay up on vet checks. Feed your dog a high quallity dog food. don't skimp on the cheap stuff. you get what you pay for in the long run.
