What are the positives,and negatives,of owninig a fawn ,blue,and white colored doberman pinschers? |

I have heard that the lighter colors suffer more skin problems/sensitivity. The Doberman Pinscher Club of America is trying to stop the expansion of the gene pool of albanistiic "white" Dobermans, citing health issues, light & sun sensitivity as detrimental to the breed. I am the proud parent of two fawns and one black and tan. Fawn is an official color. I do not encourage white and it is not an official color. Our fawns have never had any skin problems whereas my black has. One of the best thing about the the fawns is being able to walk them through the park without getting that vicious dog look from people, but many compliments from breed enthusiasts. |
