Our Aussie is great with our two young boys. If they get rough he stays in play mode. May nip lightly at times but ussually when they are wrestling with him. Their friends come in the house and he leaves them alone. Aussies are excellent family dogs! Yes aussies are very good dogs! They can be, but they may try to herd children and must be trained not to do this, as it usually involves nipping at the heels. They can also be protective and this should be curbed as well, but they are loyal and loving, and have a great desire to please. They also need a great deal of exercise every single day, and a job to do. A bored Aussie can be a destructive Aussie. |
