The American Bull-Jack is friendly and playful. This breed loves its family and loves meeting strangers and newcomers. The American Bull-Jack can be hyperactive and requires sufficient exercise. This breed is known to be willful and stubborn. Socialization and training is required from birth. The American Bull-Jack makes for a great companion dog.

A very recent cross mix of the American Bulldog and the Jack Russell Terrier, this designer dog was introduced to the United States in the 2000\'s. The Jack Russell originates from England. The American Bulldog originates from the United States. Pairing the high drive of the Jack Russell with the somewhat lesser drive of the American Bulldog, makes an interesting combination.

The Bully Jack will shed slightly, so moderate brushing is in order. An occasional bath is recommended. As with all dogs, dental hygiene, nail clipping, and cleaning of the ears is important.

An area where this pup can have lots of exercise and stimulation is needed. The Jack Russell Terrier parent breed is a tireless breed. Also, since both parent breeds are of a slightly stubborn nature, a master with strong leadership skills are necessary.
