History

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was favored by King Charles of Britain. The breed was barely lost due to cross breeding, but thanks to an American visiting England, work was done to bring back this lovely canine. The Scottish Terrier began in Scotland as a router of vermin.

Maintenance

The grooming requirements will depend on the dominant parent. The coat of the spaniel can be kept with regular brushing to prevent matting. The Scottish Terrier may require an occasional trip to the groomer.

Ideal Environment

The Cavottish will due well in either an apartment or home setting. Regular outings will be needed as the Cavalier needs his time out of doors. This hybrid may not tolerate extreme cold well, so a coat will be necessary in winter months. He will love walks with his owner.

Dog Training!

If you're having problems training your dog or getting control, you should read our review of DogProblems.com. Adam will do whatever it takes to help you whip your dog into shape. I've used them to help with my Great Dane as well as help friends train their dogs. It's the first place I go to help answer users Questions. Many training issues are too extensive to answer in this forum, which is why I refer a lot of the load to his site. Update: I've been using and recommending DogProblems for three years now. I, as well as my users, value the techniques we've learned. I get weekly emails from users who have become better owners from the information they received.
