Labrotties come in a variety of styles and their appearance depending on the dominant genes they inherit. Some take on the look of the Rottweiler with a black and tan muscular body. Others favor the Labrador and come in the black, brown, chocolate, cream and mixed.
They are very protective but not aggressive. They are known to be very loyal and love human company. They are often emotionally connected to their owners.
This breed is loving and strives to please its owner. They are watchful of the house and protective of children. Socialization from birth is best to shape a well rounded dog.

This is Ras. Picked him up at the shelter and loved him from the day we met. He lives the water like a Labrador does. He's quiet but inspects his territory if anyone or anything walks by like a Rottweiler. He's great with kids. He did require some socializing amongst other people. Great around other pets.

Tank is a unusually large Labrottie. He weighs 245 lbs and is 27 in. high at the shoulders. He is a very intelligent dog, who seems to understand everything that is said to him. We got Tank for our older dog who suffered from separation anxiety. We were lucky enough that he picked us, and was adopted from a shelter. He is very loving and loyal, and is very watchful over his human and canine family members.

Jac's aka Jackson is a Beautiful male Labrottie. He takes after his mother in looks(Labrador Retriever). He has some of his Fathers(Rottweiler) markings and color. He is just wonderful all the way around. He does bark at the wind when it blows by, but calms down as fast as it blew by. He is playful and very loving. All he wants is to be fed and loved by our children. He has his Brother Opi and Sister Gemma that lives with him. Socialization is key to keeping this breed happy. I would strongly advise if you are wanting to have a Labrottie in your family take home two from the litter or Bring your Labrottie to a Social group of other puppies/dogs.

Peanut came from a litter of 6 puppies, three were black and tan and three were tan. She has the colouring and ears of a Rottweiler but the build, size and muzzle of a labrador. She was the craziest doggy until she was about 2 and a half but is still full of beans. The hardest part of her training has been getting her to come back to us, it used to be impossible. She is EXTREMELY friendly and absolutely loves all other dogs, trying to get even the tiniest or most hostile ones to play with her. Unfortunately for my cats she is just the same with them!! All the children in the neighbourhood know her name and alot of them call for her and ask if she is coming out to play. She is not exactly the cleverest of dogs, is scared of alot of inanimate objects but has no fear of snarling dogs, loves to cuddle on the sofa or bed, doesn't bark alot, runs like a horse....often in a figure of eight and makes me laugh all the time x
