Maltipoms are a mix between a Maltese and a Pomeranian. The ears are the size of a Maltese but they stand up like a Pomeranian. The hair is smooth like a Pomeranian but long like a Maltese. These dogs average 5-8 pounds full grown. They do come in a variety of colors from cream, black, black and white, brown and then solid white.
Pomeranian's are territorial and one owner whereas Maltese are easy going and love everyone in the family. The mix is quite wonderful because they are very loving to everyone but they do have a favorite human. They share with other dogs and wait their turn if it's feeding time. Some may attempt to become the alpha dog, depending on the mix of dogs in the home.
They do not shed much except in the spring. The coat is easily maintainable because of the Pomeranians influence. The coat grows long but is thinner than that of a Maltese. It is easy to comb through. The hair on their spiky ears grows especially long and for many that is the appeal of this breed.

Best family dog ever. Doesnt shed . Loves to be around us all the time.We bring him everywhere we go. Hes a little over 4 lbs.
